This is a great initiative. Being a girl, I totally understand the embarrassment that comes when blood soils your uniform

The Story

Every girl deserves the opportunity to stay in school, pursue her dreams, and build a brighter future. Yet in Kalaki District, Teso Sub-region, far too many adolescent girls are being denied that opportunity.

Today, 31% of girls in the district are affected by teenage pregnancy and school dropout. One of the major but often overlooked contributors to this crisis is the lack of adequate Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) support in schools—particularly access to safe and affordable menstrual hygiene products.

For many girls, menstruation becomes a barrier to education rather than a natural part of life. Without sanitary pads, they are forced to miss several days of school every month. These repeated absences lead to poor academic performance, loss of confidence, and eventually dropping out of school altogether. Once out of school, many girls become more vulnerable to early marriage, exploitation, and teenage pregnancy, limiting their opportunities for a better future.

We believe that no girl should have to choose between her education and her dignity.

Through this campaign, we aim to purchase and distribute reusable (washable) sanitary pads to adolescent girls across schools in Kalaki District. These pads are safe, environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and can be used for several months, providing a sustainable solution for girls who cannot afford disposable sanitary products.

Your support will help us:

Provide reusable sanitary pads to vulnerable adolescent girls.

Reduce school absenteeism caused by menstruation.

Improve girls' confidence, dignity, and participation in education.

Keep more girls in school and reduce the risk of school dropout.

Contribute to lowering teenage pregnancy by ensuring girls remain engaged in their education.

Every donation, regardless of its size, is an investment in a girl's education, health, and future. Together, we can remove one of the barriers preventing girls from reaching their full potential.

Join us in giving every girl the chance to stay in school, stay confident, and build a better future. Your generosity can change a life today.
